Pasadena Summer Wedding : Matt & Sofia
It was just last November that I spent an afternoon at UCLA with Matt and Sofia to celebrate their engagement with a photo shoot on the grounds of Sofia's alma mater. I love those images, and have been looking forward to working with the fantastic couple again for the better part of a year. See the UCLA photos.
Their August wedding was a gorgeous, clear day at a marvelous venue called Happy Trails Catering. You'd never know it was there from the street, yet as you pass through the double wooden gates, you enter a secret garden spread out under the green canopy of arched tree boughs. A surreal and romantic locale, a perfect place to begin your lives together.
I was assisted by the wonderful Jessica Kovic whose wedding I shot just the week prior.

Sofia was getting ready at the Langham Hotel. I shot this impromptu portrait on the way out. The soft golden lighting was a fitting compliment to her wedding yellow palette's.
